Electronic Coast invites you to an open meeting about quantum processing – Quantum Computing – as a paradigm shift for industrial computing power.
The race for quantum computers has been going on for several years. In recent years, it has increased in scope and with a much larger investment budget.
All of our Nordic neighbors have established national quantum strategies. There is a clear expectation that the introduction of such systems will be a paradigm shift in many IT tasks.
When new technology with new superpowers is introduced, this will also mean new threats and issues that need to be addressed. When and in what way will this new technology affect public and private services. And perhaps just as importantly: how should we prepare today to be prepared for new risks that come as a result of such a technological revolution.
IBM is one of the world's leading technology companies in the development and applications of quantum computers. The presentation will provide an introduction to the industry around "Quantum Computing" and how it sees applications in electronics and materials technology in particular. This session will also emphasize the international effort in standardizing quantum-safe IT systems and how the work should be started.
The speaker is Lars Nordbryhn, M.Sc. in Physical Electronics/Photonics. Senior Architect and Quantum Ambassador at IBM with 25 years of experience in IT businesses in Norway and the Nordic region.
