During this year's Horten Tech Festival, we invite you to an entrepreneurial pub at Redninga!
This will be an evening where we will mingle, get to know each other better and learn from each other's experiences.
On stage we will hear from Christian Butenschøn and Odin Chocolate.
Christian Butenschøn is the man behind ICONFIRM, a GDPR platform that puts the individual at the center, but he has his feet firmly planted on the ground. He's not an IT developer or a lawyer, but he has a practical sense and common sense, which is perhaps the best starting point for navigating a sea of laws and regulations. After more than 20 years as a senior finance executive in global companies, Christian changed direction and became an operational investor. He built the Nordic region's leading collaboration platform for private healthcare, which is currently used by around 30 insurance companies and 1,300 clinics.
Throughout his long career, he has weathered storms, steered companies through challenges, and even experienced bankruptcies. One of the most demanding periods was as CEO of CG Holding during the financial crisis in 2008/2009, which he shares more about at the Entrepreneur Pub on October 16.
Odin Chocolate from Hof has had an exciting entrepreneurial journey so far. It all started in founder Tor Bjarne Henriksen's garage. The plan was to make Inca cocoa. There was just one small problem - Tor Bjarne didn't think it tasted very good, so he decided to make chocolate instead.
Martin Henriksen and Kristoffer Klausen are now running the business, with Tor Bjarne still on board as chairman. The last few years have been extremely eventful for the entrepreneurial company and it has not been smooth sailing all the way.
